The mattress consists of an advanced 7-zone system with 15 cm high pocket springs, providing optimal pressure relief for different parts of the body. Above and below the springs, there is a layer of polyether padding (28 mm/30 kg) that gives a soft yet stable feel. The foundation has 13 cm pocket springs and 20 mm polyether padding for extra stability and comfort.

The frame is made of 12 cm FSC® certified spruce/pine, ensuring both durability and quality. Essens is available in several sizes – from 120 up to 210 cm wide – and offered in comfort grades Medium, Firm (full cassette), and X-firm (split).

All Ekens Continental beds width 210 cm have a split cassette with a common fabric on the top mattress.
