Linen is one of the more environmentally friendly textile options as it does not require much fertilization or irrigation. This is because flax is grown in rainy and cool climates and is not exposed to pests, thus it manages well without pesticides. Additionally, the manufacturing process of linen consumes only small amounts of water. Thanks to the great absorbent capacity of linen, only a small amount of dye is needed when dyeing the fabric.
